To expand network capacity and bring more food to those in need, Feeding South Florida agencies are participating in food drives, the Extra Helpings Program, the Store Donation Program, Mobile Food Pantries, Agency Express, the Backpack Program and the School Pantry Box Program. Commissioner Edmonson's Health FairCommissioner Edmonson’s Health and Info Fair will offer free health services and information to her District 3 constituents. The Miami-Dade Health Department and Miami Jackson Hospital already are on board to provide free vaccines and other services to school-age children because once again the Fair will be held in conjunction with Commissioner Edmonson’s Back to School Fun Day in the hopes of getting more parents to participate. The combined event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Jefferson Reaves Park, N.W. 31 Ave. and N.W. 50 St., Miami. There will be participation from other health concerns as well as County, city and non-profit entities who offer a service/information.
