Everyone deserves a break from the kitchen, and Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival provides just that and more. The festival’s lineup includes 10 day and evening events stretched out over five days, December 7-11, 2012. Whether you’re an oenophile, indulge in juicy burgers, appreciate a barbecue, or believe in local farmers, then Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival has an event for you. Did we mention the golf tournament/food truck challenge? Each event is formulated to give guests a little summer loving in the winter and the country’s best food and wine. The festival locations are a fusion of the best of Palm Beach County; some are world renowned properties and others are local hot spots. You’re sure to find a scene that fits your style, whether it’s the Four Seasons Resort, The Breakers, 150 WORTH on Worth Avenue, downtown West Palm Beach on the waterfront or Swank Specialty Produce farm. Here is where Feeding South Florida comes into play. As part of the Festival’s charity foundation, Chefs Dish Back™, each participating chef was invited to choose a charity to receive proceeds on their behalf. We are happy to announce that Chef Jeff Simms selected Feeding South Florida as his charity. Chef Jeff Simms of The Breakers Weddings and Celebrations has selected Feeding South Florida as his 2012 Chefs Dish BackTM charity. Part of this year's exciting new charity component, this is just one of more than 23 charities that will receive 100% of Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival net proceeds. Feeding South Florida's mission is to feed South Florida's hungry in order to improve their lives by distributing food and groceries, educating the public about the issue, and engaging the community in the fight to end hunger.
