Payroll Giving Program

It's an easy way to help reduce hunger in our community. For example, a per paycheck pledge of $5 will provide 585 pounds of food per month (based on a bi-monthly pay period.) All donations are tax deductible. Less than two cents of every dollar donated goes to administration, and the food we provide to other not-for-profits significantly reduces their overhead, allowing them to increase the services they provide.

HOW PAYROLL GIVING WORKS

Once your company becomes a partner, employees can sign up to have donations automatically deducted from their paychecks. Your financial department initiates the deductions and the process becomes automatic. After the first deduction,all participating employees will receive a letter from Feeding South Florida confirming their donation. At the end of each year, each employee, as well as the company, will be given a letter itemizing the total donation and number of meals provided for income tax purposes.

Companies may also choose to match the contributions of their employees. Collectively, we can make a choice to help end hunger in South Florida.
