VOLUNTEERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Feeding South Florida is always in need of an extra pair of hands and welcomes your contribution of time. Volunteers are the backbone of our organization and we would not be able to feed the hungry without YOUR help! If you are 16 or older, we have a position for you! We offer a variety of ways for people to volunteer and help those less fortunate in our community. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit your interest.

For more information about volunteering at Feeding South Florida, please contact Leroy Green at 954-518-1863 or via e-mail at lgreen@feedingsouthflorida.org.

Ongoing Needs at Feeding South Florida

Warehouse/Salvage Work

Much of what we do at Feeding South Florida depends on volunteer help in the warehouse. Food donated from food drives, supermarkets and other food industry companies needs to be sorted, checked and repackaged. Volunteers process the bulk of the food in salvage creating a constant need for individuals in this department.

Kids Count Program

The new Kids Count Program rescues school and office supplies from local retailers and provides these supplies to teachers at local Title 1 schools - free of charge.  Volunteers sort supplies and stock shelves in this valuable program.

Administrative/Office Work

Volunteers are utilized in the office for all types of tasks. We are always in need of people with computer and typing skills, and friendly faces to help us with our mailings.
